Pandemic not Preventing School Security Updates

The current COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread across many parts of the country – particularly the Midwest. However, it is not preventing needed work in school buildings, like security upgrades, from being performed.

According to Clay Crost, director, education market at Sonitrol Great Lakes, security audits, equipment inspections, servicing, and installation projects are continuing at schools where in-person classes are in session, as well as at temporarily closed facilities.

“The major areas of focus under current conditions include installation of temperature monitoring equipment, as well as securing entryways in order to ensure safe and secure access,” Crost said. “We’re working with schools to help them minimize contact points and prevent any unhealthy conditions.”

In addition, Sonitrol Great Lakes sales, service, and installation personnel are strictly following all health and safety protocols while visiting and working in school buildings.

Sonitrol Great Lakes has been protecting schools across the Michigan – Illinois region for more than 50 years, and has the proven experience required to protect schools during this current health crisis. Contact us to learn more.
